GrippeMontréal : The project and the team
GrippeMontréal is the latest initiative of the Direction de santé publique de l'Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal to help understand flu activity.
Made up of experts in epidemiology, population health surveys, statistics, data processing and communications, the GrippeMontréal team has developed this website that enables you to contribute directly to public health actions.
Every week, you're invited to fill out a short questionnaire to tell us whether or not you've had flu-like symptoms. It only takes a few seconds! To be eligible for participation, you have to be 18 years old or over, and live, work or study on the island of Montréal.
The site does not offer medical diagnoses but it's a new kind of tool that puts you at the core of a public health action: Your participation will enable us to quickly detect the presence of flu-like symptoms in Montréal and to give you useful information about what's going on in your area.
With the results obtained, the GrippeMontréal team will have the most up-to-date information on any increase or decline in influenza activity. The necessary measures can then be taken to support and guide health services. Results will be posted each week.
Your participation is important to us!
Having a better understanding of the flu situation in Montréal results in better tools to make the best decisions about our health.
When you sign up to GrippeMontréal, you participate in an innovative public health project that allows you to
We all know that our health is essential to our quality of life. Work with public health to better equip our community! Pass the word on to people you know!
