Flu activity in Montréal

The figure below shows the evolution of ILI cases among GrippeMontréal participants. This week we are sharing with you data to January 9, 2010:

• ILI reported by GrippeMontréal participants (curve, %);
• Number of visits for ILI to emergency departments (blue column, number);
• Laboratory confirmed cases of influenza (H1N1) (orange column, number);

The increase in influenza activity that began on December 20 in the community (curve) is reflected in emergency rooms starting on December 27 (blue column).

In the week of January 3 to 9, 2010 an overall decrease in flu activity is observed.
